Introduction
Business acceleration for young entrepreneurs in Africa (BAYE Africa); is an Entrepreneurship Support Organization providing Technical Assistance for Agribusiness Enterprises development and also a social Enterprise. Our partners mainly include private entities, development partners, and governments seeking quality solutions to matters in Agribusiness, Enterprise Development, Project Management, Resource Mobilization, Sustainable Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation.
The Company was founded in 2019 and legally registered in Kenya. Established by seasoned, well trained and experienced individuals in the field of Finance, enterprise development, Agribusiness, innovation and entrepreneurship related services. BAYE Africa is focused on providing experiential client centered and tailor made responsive services. We take part in contributing and building our client’s success by ensuring that all the aspects of our interventions puts their interest and satisfaction first. At BAYE Africa, we offer a broad set of services that adequately meet the needs and goals of our clients
The Context
Agricultural small- and medium-sized enterprises (agri-SMEs) are critical to the development of more inclusive and sustainable food systems. These businesses are responsible for much of the sale of inputs, food production, collection and distribution, and processing and retail of food products. The most common reasons small businesses fail include a lack of capital or funding, retaining an inadequate management team, a faulty infrastructure or business model, and unsuccessful marketing initiatives.
The Pain Points and Challenges In Agri-Food Sector
The main challenges we address includes; limited access to finance, knowing the customer base, constraints with sourcing for data, inadequate access to technical, business and management skills and support, use of outdated technologies, insufficient policy environment, low production levels of raw materials and lack of operational efficiency.
Our Impact
Thematic areas of focus; Our core activities include; Incubation and Acceleration programs, Agribusiness Coaching and mentorship, financial Inclusion, value chain development, Market system strengthening, Market research, Harnessing Entrepreneurship skills, Business strategy Development, Innovation, Knowledge management and technology transfer.
Contribution to SDGs; We make contributions both directly and indirectly to the following sustainable development goals;
- SDG#1 – Ending rural poverty by involving women and youth-led enterprises in active Agri-food production.
- SDG#2 – We work with food business operators to promote food security by enabling access to sufficient, nutritious, safe, and affordable food by low income households.
- SDG#8 – Catalyzing growth in the Agri-food sector to create jobs and employment opportunities for all people.
- SDG#9 – mainstreaming Innovation, Technology transfer and knowledge management that supports better production and processing and opening up markets for startups and SMEs.
- SDG#12 – Achieving food security involves reducing food loss and waste through proper value chain development and post-harvest management as part of responsible consumption and production.
- SDG#13 – Inclusive and holistic value chain activities that contributes to climate action and climate change mitigation measures.

BAYE Africa is a Social Enterprise that focuses on empowering African youth to become social entrepreneurs and leaders. The organization works towards creating responsible and self-sustaining communities across Africa by providing young people with the tools and resources needed to launch and grow their own social enterprises.
BAYE Africa's programs are designed to help young people develop entrepreneurial skills, leadership abilities, and a sense of social responsibility. The organization provides training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help young people turn their ideas into successful social enterprises.
